This event focuses upon calming mini meditation practice which will help student think and analyze more clear and better. On mid-term weeks, students feel more pressure, stress, anxiety and this leads to sleeplessness, which will affect their future grades. It is this time when they are required to calm their thoughts and look for all possible opportunities to reach their goal.

Episode 1: Beauty and wellness

This session will be a starting session of semester. All the executives will join and meet with the members virtually. Executives will discuss about the skin types and tips to know which skin type they have and basic steps we all should take to maintain a good skin. Everyone will get a chance to share their experiences and that way executes will get an idea of what kind of events and challenges they can arrange for next time.

Part Time - Start May 9

Reporting to the Manager, Campus Operations, the Food Bank Assistant prepares and provides food support to students accessing the SSF’s Food Bank.

Note: As this role will operate on-campus, the Seneca COVID-19 Return to Campus Guide shall be adhered to at all times. This is subject to change according to the college guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute food items to individuals accessing the Food Bank
  • Prepare Food Bank when shipment arrives – sort and stack items in an orderly manner on the shelves
  • Ensure product quality through proper sorting techniques
  • Ensure Food Bank room and all storage space is clean and tidy every day
  • Ensure the sorting area is safe – maintain clean walkways and exits
  • Use correct body mechanics while lifting heavy items
  • Ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness
  • Ensure all interactions with individuals are maintained with confidentiality except where required by law
  • Ensure proper registration of members and tracking of visits

Qualifications

  • Good mobility required for bending and reaching etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs of weight several times during the shift

Requirements 

  • Vaccinations are a condition for students, employees and others on official Seneca business to come on campus during the Summer 2022 semester. 
  • Must be enrolled in a full-time Seneca College program
  • Must reside in Ontario
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number
  • Must have an account with a Canadian bank

Through the work experience gained in this role, by the end of their term, the Food Bank Clerk will be able to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer questions regarding SSF services, events, and policies
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Inform students of the SSF’s Health and Dental Insurance Plan, Shuttle Bus Service and other SSF services 
  • Assists with the completion of insurance claim forms
  • Schedule appointments and book meeting rooms
  • Sell and track SSF event tickets
  • Receive and file various forms, applications and mail
  • Provide administrative support to each department as needed
  • Count and balance till/cash box at beginning and end of shift
  • Clean, organize and stock reception area
  • Coordinate opening and closing of office as assigned
