Requirements to Start an SSF Club
Before your club can become officially recognized by the Seneca Student Federation, you must meet the following requirements. Completing these requirements helps ensure every club has the structure and support needed to succeed.
Be a Full-Time Seneca Student
The person submitting the club registration and serving as an executive must be a currently registered full-time Seneca student.
Have at Least 10 Members
Your club must have a minimum of 10 registered student members, including three executives (President, Vice President, and Treasurer), to be considered for official recognition.
Appoint Three Executives
Every club must have three executives: a President, Vice President, and Treasurer, before applying for recognition.
Submit the Club Registration Form
Complete and submit the official SSF Club Registration Form with accurate and up-to-date club information.
Upload a Club Constitution
Include a club constitution that meets SSF requirements and clearly outlines your club's purpose, membership, executive structure, and operating procedures.
Meet SSF Club Eligibility Requirements
Your club's purpose must align with SSF policies and should not duplicate the mission or objectives of an existing recognized club.
Follow SSF Policies and Procedures
Club executives must agree to follow all SSF Clubs policies, procedures, reporting requirements, and important deadlines throughout the academic year.
What Happens Next?
Once your application has been reviewed and approved, your club will get the resources to eventually become sanctioned.
